Under the leadership of Dr. Dario Sunga, Co-founder and President of City of Praise Cancer Research Foundation and Vice President - Chief Science Officer of Green Earth Vitamins, Inc., the program we envision is to enhance and augment the current scientific research activities currently being globally by various institutions towards the search of alternative ways aside from the extensive mainstream BioPharma research activities currently being done. Conducting scientific research on alternative forms of medicines, which would include but is not limited to traditional and herbal based treatments and supplements, we believe that this approach could significantly impact and contribute to the   comprehensive search to cure or control cancer. By inference and by virtue of years of use with purported positive outcomes, these alternative “cures and remedies” needs to be revisited, reexamined and augmented by sound scientific research approaches. At the forefront of our program is to further look into the potential of Acetogenin, a compound identified and isolated from Soursop (Annona muricata L) also known as Guyabano or Graviola among other sources, and conduct further studies to scientifically prove its usefulness in controlling or curing cancer based on its cytotoxic properties aside from its reported immune boosting capabilities and other uses.

The Foundation seeks to also look at exploring similar compounds from various natural plants and from other traditional sources of remedies and cures based on scientific methods and apply current advances in science and technology, which were not available previously. It is not an uncommon knowledge that some possible cures or supportive alternative medicines were identified earlier but research on such compounds and sources were abandoned due to financial issues, paucity of evidence due to the lack of proper technology, failure to safely conduct research clinically or unavailability of the technology platform to deliver the compound safely. Current advances in medicines and technology now provide various ways to conduct to address these previous issues. By leveraging these advances, the Foundation seeks to revisit the potential of such alternative sources and traditional remedies.
